What an ERP System in Abu Dhabi Needs from Your Infrastructure

An ERP system is only as dependable as the network, servers and access controls under it, whether you run cloud ERP in Abu Dhabi or host it on-premise. These are the things your ERP partner will expect to be in place before go-live.

  • A wired and wireless network that keeps ERP sessions responsive at every desk, counter and warehouse aisle
  • Dual internet links and secure breakout for cloud ERP
  • A server room or hosted capacity sized for the ERP database, for on-premise ERP
  • Backups with an off-site copy and tested restores
  • Role-based sign-in with multi-factor authentication
  • Attendance, POS and CCTV systems connected to the network in a controlled way
  • A named support contact for the infrastructure

ERP Infrastructure We Deliver

Network, Wi-Fi & internet

Structured cabling, switching and wireless so ERP sessions stay responsive on every floor, plus dual-WAN internet for cloud ERP. See structured cabling.

Backup & disaster recovery

Backup of ERP databases and file servers with an off-site copy and tested restores. See backup and disaster recovery.

Identity, access & security

Role-based sign-in with multi-factor authentication, firewalls and endpoint protection around the systems your ERP touches.

Site security for server rooms & stock

CCTV and access control for server rooms, warehouses and stock areas, installed under our ADMCC approval.

ERP Support & AMC

Emirtech's Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) covers the infrastructure your ERP depends on: network and structured-cabling checks, Wi-Fi coverage audits, and the CCTV, access-control and attendance systems under contract, with scheduled visits, written service reports and defined response times.

ERP application support — licences, upgrades, fixes and user training — stays with your ERP vendor or implementation partner. See our Annual Maintenance Contract page for the tiers and what each one covers.

ERP Infrastructure for Trading & Distribution

ERP software for a trading or distribution business in Mussafah depends on a stable link between sales counters, the warehouse and head office. Emirtech cables and secures that link: counter and dispatch workstations, warehouse Wi-Fi, POS and ERP terminals, CCTV over stock areas and biometric attendance, with network handoffs to your existing POS or ERP.

See our guides for building-materials trading, furniture and interiors trading and restaurant-supplies wholesale sites in Mussafah.

ERP Infrastructure for Manufacturing (Mussafah, ICAD, KEZAD)

Factories and workshops in Mussafah, ICAD and KEZAD (including the Khalifa Industrial Zone, KIZAD) run production scheduling and ERP systems over a network that has to cope with heat, dust and shift-based use. Emirtech designs that network, keeps operational technology (OT) networks isolated from the corporate IT network that carries ERP, email and CCTV, and sets up backup for ERP and file servers with an off-site copy and tested restores.

See our guides for manufacturing and industrial sites, Mussafah, ICAD and KIZAD.

ERP Infrastructure for Logistics

Logistics and warehouse operators need WMS and ERP sessions to stay unbroken as staff move across the floor and trucks pass the gate. Emirtech configures warehouse Wi-Fi with fast-transition roaming, fibre and PoE backbones, ANPR gate cameras and WMS server backup.

See our guides for warehouse and logistics CCTV and IT and warehouse and industrial Wi-Fi.

ERP in Al Ain

Emirtech can support ERP sites in Al Ain — such as Sanaiya workshops, trading offices and light-manufacturing units — from its M44 Mussafah base, with scheduled visits and remote checks between them. See ERP software in Al Ain for how that works.

ERP Implementation in Abu Dhabi: Where Emirtech's Part Sits

Your ERP vendor or implementation partner leads the application project. Emirtech's work runs alongside it.

Infrastructure Readiness Survey

We survey your sites, cabling, network capacity, server room and internet links against what your ERP partner specifies.

Design & Build

Cabling, switching, Wi-Fi, servers or hosting, backup and identity are designed and installed to that specification.

Device & System Connections

We connect POS systems, biometric attendance and CCTV on the device side; your ERP partner maps the data inside the ERP.

Testing with Your ERP Partner

Network performance, failover and backup restores are tested ahead of the ERP go-live date.

Go-Live Support & AMC

We support the infrastructure through go-live, and an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) keeps it maintained afterwards.

Choosing an ERP Partner in Abu Dhabi: What to Consider

Selecting an ERP system is a long-term investment, and the application and the infrastructure under it are usually bought from different suppliers. If you are comparing ERP companies in Abu Dhabi or interviewing ERP consultants in Abu Dhabi, weigh these points:

  • Application partner status: ask the ERP vendor or consultant for their vendor-issued partner status for the platform. That credential belongs to the application partner, not to your infrastructure supplier.
  • Business requirements: define the departments and processes the ERP must cover — finance, HR, inventory, CRM or all of them.
  • Hosting model: cloud or on-premise changes what you need underneath; ask for the bandwidth, uptime and server requirements in writing. See the cloud vs on-premise guide.
  • Integration: check how the ERP connects to attendance, POS and banking systems, and whether it is ready for UAE e-invoicing.
  • Security and compliance: the ERP should support role-based access, encryption and audit trails, particularly for businesses subject to UAE data protection regulations.
  • Support split: agree in writing who supports the application and who supports the infrastructure.

Emirtech will give a straight view of the infrastructure each option needs; request a free site survey. For the e-invoicing rollout that affects UAE ERP systems, see our UAE e-invoicing guide.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ADMCC approval relevant to an ERP project?
No. ADMCC approval covers CCTV and electronic-security installations in Abu Dhabi; it is not an ERP credential. Where an ERP project also involves security or network infrastructure such as CCTV, access control or cabling, that part of the work falls within our ADMCC-approved scope.
Does Emirtech implement or customise ERP software?
No. Emirtech delivers the infrastructure layer ERP systems run on — networks, servers and hosting, backup, identity and access, device integration and support. ERP application implementation, configuration and customisation are done by your ERP vendor or implementation partner, and Emirtech is not an implementation partner of any ERP vendor. We work alongside them.
How much does ERP cost in Abu Dhabi?
ERP licence, subscription and implementation pricing is set by the ERP vendor and implementation partner, so Emirtech does not quote it. Emirtech prices only the infrastructure layer, after a free site survey: call +971 55 651 7843 or email [email protected].
How long does the infrastructure side of an ERP project take?
It depends on the site. Cabling, network and hosting work is scoped after a free site survey and should finish before your ERP go-live date, which your implementation partner sets. Share the go-live date at the survey so the infrastructure plan can be sequenced to it.
Which areas do you cover for ERP infrastructure?
Abu Dhabi — including Mussafah, ICAD and KEZAD — and Al Ain. Visits to Al Ain are scheduled from our M44 Mussafah base.
Do you support the ERP environment after go-live?
Yes, for the infrastructure layer. An Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) covers scheduled checks of the network, structured cabling and Wi-Fi, plus the CCTV, access-control and attendance systems under contract, with defined response times. ERP application support stays with your ERP partner.
Can attendance, POS and CCTV systems connect to our ERP?
Yes, on the device side. Emirtech configures biometric attendance and POS devices to export or sync data and secures the network around them; your ERP partner configures the mapping inside the ERP. See our ERP with biometric attendance integration page for HR and payroll.
