In short: This page covers “Electrical Wiring & Cabling”. The work is carried out by Emirtech's team and its appointed subcontractors; connection approvals sit with ADDC in Abu Dhabi and AADC in Al Ain and their registered providers. Emirtech replies to enquiries the same working day and does not offer 24/7 or emergency call-out. A site survey comes first, then a written itemised quotation.

Electrical Wiring & Cabling: key facts

Who provides it?Emirtech Technology, based at M44, Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi, in operation since 2018. Electrical work is carried out by Emirtech's team and its appointed subcontractors.
Where?Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, served from Emirtech's Mussafah, Abu Dhabi base; there is no Al Ain office. In Dubai Emirtech takes only IT AMC and time attendance projects.
What is coveredElectrical Wiring & Cabling.
Survey and quotationA site survey comes first, then a written, itemised quotation. Emirtech replies to enquiries the same working day; site hours are Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM. It does not offer 24/7 or emergency call-out.
CredentialsADMCC approval covers Emirtech's security systems work only, not electrical or solar work. Connection approvals sit with ADDC in Abu Dhabi and AADC in Al Ain and their registered providers.
Please noteEmirtech is not a chartered engineering consultancy, does not stamp MEP drawings, and is not ADCD-certified for fire alarm work. It does not file utility applications or sign off for the utility.

What electrical wiring and cabling work do you carry out in Abu Dhabi?

We install and cable both single-phase supplies (most villas and apartments) and three-phase supplies (larger villas, offices, retail units and almost all industrial premises in Mussafah, ICAD and KEZAD) — not sure which applies to your property? See our single-phase vs three-phase guide for a plain explanation. Our wiring scope covers final circuits (lighting, sockets, air-conditioning, dedicated appliances), sub-mains between the main board and sub-distribution boards, containment and conduit systems, and full or partial rewires of older or altered properties. Cable is sized to the design current, the route length and grouping, and the ambient temperature — a real factor in the UAE, where derating for heat matters. On three-phase installations we balance the load across the three phases so no single phase carries a disproportionate share, which prevents nuisance tripping and overheating. Every circuit is run in the correct cable and containment, terminated to torque, and verified on completion: continuity, polarity, insulation resistance, earth-loop impedance and RCD trip-time testing, with a documented test sheet and circuit schedule on handover. As always, our scope begins at the point of supply — the incoming service, metering and connection approval sit with ADDC (Abu Dhabi) or AADC (Al Ain). Capabilities

Wiring & cabling capabilities

Final circuits

Lighting, socket, air-conditioning and dedicated appliance circuits, sized to load and route and protected at the board.

Sub-mains & three-phase

Sub-main cabling between main and sub-boards, and three-phase distribution for larger and industrial premises with balanced phase loading.

Full & partial rewires

Rewiring older or altered villas and units — new cable, containment, boards and protection, with minimal disruption and staged where needed.

Containment & conduit

Conduit, trunking, tray and ladder containment installed neatly and to a maintainable standard, not cable simply clipped and hidden.

Cable sizing & derating

Conductors sized for design current, length, grouping and ambient heat — with UAE temperature derating applied, not ignored.

Load balancing & testing

Phase-load balancing on three-phase boards, and full inspection and testing with a documented test sheet on handover.

Scope — what we deliver and explicitly do not

Wiring and cabling is core electrical work, but the regulated boundary still applies. We set it out before quoting.

  • We deliver: final-circuit and sub-main wiring, single- and three-phase installation, full and partial rewires, containment and conduit, cable sizing with UAE derating, phase-load balancing, and inspection and testing with documented results.
  • We do not deliver: works on the public distribution network upstream of the point of supply, metering, utility connection approvals, stamped MEP cable schedules or load calculations for authority submission, and fire-alarm cabling design and commissioning.
  • We are not: a chartered engineering consultancy, a Society of Engineers member firm, ADCD-certified for fire systems, or the distribution company. Our ADMCC approval covers security systems work only; it is not an electrical utility authorisation.
  • We are not affiliated with: ADDC, AADC, TAQA, the Department of Energy Abu Dhabi, ADCD, or any main contractor or consultancy.
  • Geographic coverage is Abu Dhabi and Al Ain — electrical installation in Dubai is carried out by DEWA-licensed contractors and Emirtech is not DEWA-licensed, so we do not take electrical work in Dubai, Sharjah or the Northern Emirates. For the technology side of a Dubai project (IT, networking and smart home; CCTV is SIRA-regulated and should be handled by a SIRA-licensed contractor of the client's choosing) we can help, and we coordinate with your appointed contractor.
  • Works on the utility network upstream of the point of supply, metering and connection approvals sit with ADDC (Abu Dhabi) / AADC (Al Ain) and their registered providers — we say so in the written quotation.

Common questions

FAQs

Can you convert my villa from single-phase to three-phase?
A change of supply phase is a distribution-company matter: the incoming service and metering sit with ADDC (Abu Dhabi) or AADC (Al Ain) and their registered providers. What we do is the installation side — design and install the three-phase board and sub-mains, balance the loads and test — so the internal installation is ready. We coordinate our scope to the point of supply and say clearly what sits with the utility.
How do you size cable for the UAE climate?
Cable is sized for the design current, the run length, how cables are grouped, and the ambient temperature — and UAE ambient heat means derating factors are applied so a cable that is fine in a cooler climate is not run at its limit here. We size up where derating requires it rather than fitting the smallest cable that just passes.
Do you carry out full villa rewires?
Yes — full and partial rewires of older or altered villas and units: new cable and containment, a new board with modern protection, and testing on completion. We can stage a rewire room by room to keep parts of the property live where the household needs it.
What is load balancing and why does it matter on three-phase?
On a three-phase board, circuits should be distributed so each of the three phases carries a similar load. If one phase is overloaded while others are lightly used, you get nuisance tripping, overheating and wasted capacity. We plan the circuit distribution to balance the phases and record it on the schedule.
What do you test and document?
Continuity and open-circuit, polarity, insulation resistance, earth-loop impedance and RCD trip-time, handed over with a documented test sheet and a labelled circuit schedule — and a single-line diagram where the works warrant it.
Which areas do you cover?
Abu Dhabi and Al Ain — including Mussafah, ICAD, KEZAD and the industrial areas where three-phase is standard, the villa communities, and Al Ain districts such as Sanaiya and Al Jimi. Electrical installation in Dubai is carried out by DEWA-licensed contractors and Emirtech is not DEWA-licensed, so we do not take electrical work in Dubai, Sharjah or the Northern Emirates. For the technology side of a Dubai project (IT, networking and smart home; CCTV is SIRA-regulated and should be handled by a SIRA-licensed contractor of the client's choosing) we can help, and we coordinate with your appointed contractor.
