A smart parking system replaces traditional paper-ticket and manual-payment workflows with an integrated suite of hardware and software: ANPR cameras that read licence plates at entry and exit, pay-on-foot kiosks or pay-at-exit lanes where drivers settle their fee, season-pass and visitor management platforms for registered users, overhead occupancy sensors that count spaces in real time, and dynamic guidance signage that directs drivers to available bays. In Abu Dhabi, these systems are installed across high-footfall environments including retail destinations on Yas Island, five-star hotels in the Al Maryah Island finance district, hospitals, Khalifa City office towers, Mussafah industrial facilities, and mixed-use developments in Saadiyat and Masdar City. System Components
High-resolution licence-plate-recognition cameras at entry and exit lanes capture vehicle registrations automatically, eliminating paper tickets, reducing lane queues and linking each stay to a named record for billing or permit validation.
Self-service payment terminals accept cash, card, contactless and mobile wallet payments. Pay-on-foot kiosks allow drivers to settle before returning to their vehicle; pay-at-exit lanes process payment in-lane via ANPR match — reducing exit dwell time at high-volume sites.
Ultrasonic or infrared bay sensors detect whether each space is occupied, feeding real-time counts to LED guidance signs at every junction. Drivers are routed directly to available bays, cutting circulation time and reducing congestion on site.
Extended Feature Set
Registered tenants, staff and monthly subscribers are recognised automatically at barriers via ANPR or RFID, with their permit status validated in real time against the central management platform — no card presentation needed for ANPR-enrolled vehicles.
Pre-registered visitor codes, QR-code tickets and valet-kiosk workflows allow concierge and front-of-house teams at hotels and hospitals to issue, track and validate parking entitlements without manual paper handling.
A web-based operations dashboard gives parking managers live occupancy data, transaction reports, revenue summaries and remote device monitoring. Role-based access allows finance, operations and security teams to view the data relevant to their function.

We install and integrate the equipment: ANPR cameras, barriers, kiosks, sensors and signs. Who runs the car park and sets its tariffs and rules is a separate decision, and it is usually the site owner or an operator the owner appoints.
Emirtech does not operate car parks, collect fees or enforce parking rules. Things to settle early on any project: who owns the data, how long plate records are kept and who may see them, because plate records can identify individuals (see our PDPL-aligned technical readiness guide), how entry works when the network or payment link fails, and any approval the site's own landlord or master developer requires.
