Does Emirtech supply and install boardroom AV systems in Abu Dhabi?
Yes. Emirtech Technology is based in Mussafah M44, Abu Dhabi and supplies, installs, configures and maintains complete boardroom and conference room AV systems — including 4K displays, PTZ cameras, ceiling-array microphones, Crestron, Extron and QSC control, room scheduling panels and Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex integration — for corporate, finance, hospitality and education organisations across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. As a systems integrator operating since 2018 (our ADMCC approval covers security systems work only), we manage the full AV project from initial room survey and acoustic assessment through to control-system commissioning and handover documentation.
Is Emirtech an authorised dealer or certified partner for Crestron, Extron or QSC?
Emirtech is a systems integrator, not an authorised dealer, official distributor or certified partner of Crestron, Extron, QSC or any AV manufacturer. Our honest position is that we work with these platforms: we source genuine hardware through UAE supply channels, design room-specific AV architectures, and carry out hands-on installation, control-system programming and commissioning. Clients who specifically require a direct manufacturer relationship or partner-tier support arrangement should clarify this distinction before engaging any integrator.
How much does a conference room AV installation cost in Abu Dhabi, and can I get a free consultation?
Installed cost depends on the number and size of displays, the control platform chosen (Crestron, Extron or QSC), camera and microphone specification, video conferencing room system hardware, cabling and mounting complexity, and whether an annual maintenance contract is included. Emirtech provides free site consultations and itemised quotations at no obligation — call +971 55 651 7843 or email

Which video conferencing platforms does Emirtech integrate into conference rooms?
Emirtech integrates conference rooms with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and Cisco Webex, deploying appropriate room system hardware from manufacturers such as Logitech, Poly, Yealink and Cisco depending on the platform and room size. Each room system is registered to the organisation's tenant, configured with meeting-calendar integration and tested for one-touch meeting join before handover. Rooms can be designed for a single platform or for multi-platform operation where different meeting participants use different services.
What is the difference between a Crestron, Extron and QSC control system for a conference room?
Crestron control processors and touch panels support fully programmed room automation — managing displays, sources, lighting, blinds and conferencing devices from a single interface — and are suited to complex boardrooms or multi-room facilities that require bespoke programming. Extron provides a reliable, straightforward integration path for meeting rooms where source switching, display control and volume management are the primary requirements, with less custom programming overhead. QSC Q-SYS is a software-defined platform that combines DSP audio processing, video routing and control in one architecture, offering centralised remote management across multiple rooms or campuses — practical for Abu Dhabi organisations with several meeting rooms in a single building or across distributed sites.
Does Emirtech provide ongoing maintenance for conference room AV systems after installation?
Yes. Emirtech offers annual maintenance contracts for boardroom and conference room AV installations, covering scheduled system health checks, DSP parameter and amplifier reviews, control-system programme audits, video conferencing platform updates, room scheduling panel reviews, firmware management and priority on-site attendance for hardware faults. AMC terms are tailored to the number of rooms and the organisation's operational hours. Contact us on +971 55 651 7843 or via

What should an audio visual (AV) integrator include in a conference room proposal?
A complete proposal lists the display or projector size matched to the room and seating distance, the camera, microphone and speaker coverage for the room size, the control system and touch panel, the conferencing platform (Teams, Zoom or Webex) and its room licence, the cabling and wall or ceiling work, a room booking or scheduling panel where needed, commissioning and user training, and the support terms after handover. Ask each AV company for a drawing and a written equipment list so quotations can be compared line by line. For room booking panels and badge-based room access, see our
conference room booking and access integration page. Call +971 55 651 7843 for a free site survey.
Can you upgrade our existing meeting room without replacing everything?
Often yes. Existing displays, cabling, tables and ceilings can be kept where they still meet the room's needs, and the survey lists what can stay and what should change, such as adding a camera, microphones, a room controller or a new platform device. The quotation is written after that check, and you decide how much to upgrade.
Interactive display, projector or large screen: which suits a meeting room or classroom?
It depends on the room, not the product. A large flat display suits most meeting rooms and works in daylight. An interactive display adds touch and whiteboarding for rooms where people annotate together. A projector can suit very large rooms or rooms with a fixed screen position but needs controlled ambient light. The survey checks room size, seating distance, light and how the room is used before a recommendation.
Who arranges building-management approval for wall mounting and cable routes?
Work that opens ceilings, risers or walls, or fixes screens and brackets to walls and facades, usually needs the approval of the landlord or building management, and cable routes through shared areas may need permission too. We note the access and approval needs we see at the survey; obtaining the permissions is the building owner's or client's step unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Can AV be installed or upgraded in an occupied office, a working venue or a live school without stopping use?
Often yes, if the work is phased by room or done outside working hours where the site allows, with ceiling access, noise and handover agreed at the site survey. Some disruption cannot always be avoided, so Emirtech does not promise zero disruption; the plan is written into the quotation.
How does a meeting room booking panel work?
A panel mounted at the door shows whether the room is free, who booked it and what is next. It reads the room's own calendar, such as an Exchange room mailbox, so bookings made in Outlook or on the panel show in both places. It needs a network cable with PoE at the door and a calendar resource for each room.
What is check-in and auto-release on a room panel?
It frees a room that nobody uses. On Microsoft Teams panels the Check in button appears about 20 minutes before the meeting, and if nobody checks in within the set time after the start, the room declines the invitation and becomes available. Microsoft states that the feature is off by default, is turned on by an administrator, and works for room mailboxes in Exchange Online.
What do we need in place before installing room booking panels?
A room mailbox or resource calendar for each room, a network cable with PoE at each door, an administrator who can configure the calendar system, and a decision on the booking policy such as release time. For Teams panels the room mailbox also needs the correct time zone. We check these at the survey.
What is the difference between a room booking panel and a room control system?
A booking panel sits outside the room and handles reservations and availability. A room control system is a touch panel inside the room that runs the displays, sources, lighting and blinds. Most boardrooms use both, and our quotation lists them separately.
What is a hybrid meeting room, and what does it need?
A hybrid meeting room is set up so people in the room and remote participants see and hear each other equally. It needs a camera that frames the people speaking, microphones that cover every seat, a speaker the whole room can hear, a display for remote faces and shared content, and a way to start the meeting with one touch. The survey checks the room size, seating and acoustics before any equipment is chosen.
Video bar or PTZ camera with separate microphones: which does our room need?
An all-in-one video bar usually suits huddle rooms and small meeting rooms where everyone sits fairly close to the display. Longer tables, larger rooms and boardrooms usually need a PTZ or auto-framing camera with table or ceiling microphones so that every seat is covered. Room length, seating layout and ceiling height decide it, and the survey recommends one option rather than a fixed rule.
Can we keep our existing TV or display for video conferencing?
Often yes. A display can stay if its size and resolution suit the room, it has the inputs needed and it is mounted at a sensible height. The survey checks this and lists what can stay and what should change, so you do not pay to replace equipment that still does the job.
How many microphones and cameras does a boardroom need?
There is no fixed number. It depends on the table length, the number of seats, ceiling height and room acoustics. Larger boardrooms often use ceiling-array microphones or several microphone zones, and sometimes a second camera. We work out the coverage at the survey and list every microphone and camera in the written quotation.
What is the difference between a BYOD room and a dedicated Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms system?
In a BYOD room, a person plugs their own laptop into the camera and microphones with a USB cable and joins the meeting from that laptop. A dedicated Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms system has its own room device and touch controller, shows the room calendar and joins the scheduled meeting with one touch. BYOD costs less and is flexible; a dedicated system is more consistent for busy shared rooms.
Does a Teams Rooms or Zoom Rooms system need a separate licence?
Yes. The platform room licence is separate from the hardware and is held by the organisation, bought from Microsoft or Zoom or through a reseller. Licence terms and prices change, so check the platform's current terms. Emirtech installs and configures the room device and links it to your tenant or account, and our quotation states what is and is not included.
What do we receive when a video conferencing room is handed over?
The handover package covers as-built cable schedules, control-system programme documentation where a control system is fitted, device admin credentials and user guides, and a short session showing staff how to start and join meetings. The exact list is written into the quotation for your project.
