We take Dubai gate barrier and ANPR projects ourselves, not through partners. We work from Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, with no office in Dubai, and visit by appointment after a free site survey and a written quotation. We are not a brand partner or distributor of any barrier or ANPR maker.

What a Dubai gate barrier project can include

Part of the systemWhat it coversWhat to expect
Barrier and boom armAn automatic boom barrier with an arm length chosen for the lane width (commonly 3 to 6 m), a straight or folding arm and an opening speed that suits the traffic. The lane is measured at the survey and the arm and speed are confirmed in writing.
Safety devicesVehicle loop detectors, photocells and a safety edge so the arm does not close on a car or a person.Safety devices are part of the quotation, not an extra.
Access control methodRFID tags or cards, remote controls, a phone app, an intercom call or a keypad, alone or combined. We recommend the method that fits your traffic, security level and who uses the gate.
ANPR plate recognitionA camera and recognition software that open the barrier for registered plates and keep a log with white and black lists.Plate logs are personal data; access and storage are agreed with you at the survey.
Parking managementEntry and exit counting, visitor passes, ticketing or payment where the car park needs it.Needs a parking management package; options are compared at the survey.
Power and civil worksA concrete base, cable ducts, a protected power supply and a battery backup where needed.Civil work depends on the site; it is listed in the quotation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you install gate barriers in Dubai?
Yes. We supply, install and maintain automatic gate barriers and ANPR systems in Dubai after a free site survey and a written quotation, and we take these projects ourselves, not through partners. We work from Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, with no office in Dubai, so visits are by appointment. For Abu Dhabi and Al Ain see gate barrier systems in Abu Dhabi and gate barriers in Al Ain.
How much does a gate barrier cost in Dubai?
Emirtech does not publish a price list, because the cost depends on the site. The main drivers are the barrier type, arm length and speed, the safety devices, the control method (RFID, remote or ANPR), the civil and power works, and any links to access control or parking software. We survey the site for free and send a written itemised quotation. See the gate barrier cost guide for what drives the price.
What is a gate barrier system?
A gate barrier system is an automatic barrier, usually a motorised boom arm, that opens and closes to control vehicles at an entrance, with safety devices and a way to authorise vehicles such as RFID tags, a remote, an intercom or ANPR plate recognition. It is used at villa communities, car parks, warehouses and commercial sites.
What boom arm length do I need?
The arm needs to span the lane with a little margin; boom arms are commonly 3 to 6 m, and a folding arm suits low headroom. Wider lanes or two-way lanes may need two barriers. We measure the lane at the survey and confirm the arm and the opening speed in writing.
Do you do ANPR in Dubai?
Yes. We install ANPR plate-recognition systems at gates and car parks in Dubai and take these projects ourselves. Plate logs are personal data, so we agree who can see them and how long they are kept. We hold no SIRA approval; where a project also needs SIRA-regulated CCTV or access control, that part goes through a SIRA-approved partner and we coordinate. See how ANPR works and the ANPR cost guide.
RFID or ANPR for a villa community?
RFID tags or remotes are simple and low-cost for residents. ANPR suits larger communities and visitor control because there is nothing to carry or lose and it keeps a log, but it needs good camera placement and lighting. Many communities use RFID for residents and ANPR or an intercom for visitors. We recommend after the survey.
Do I need approval from my developer or community before fitting a gate barrier?
Usually yes for shared entrances and car parks: the developer, master community or owners' association normally has to approve gates and any works on common areas, and tenants need the landlord's written permission. We tell you what to ask for at the survey. We do not process community or authority approvals on your behalf.
Can the barrier link to access control, intercoms or parking software?
Often yes. A barrier can be triggered by access control, an intercom or a parking management package, depending on the products. We confirm compatibility at the survey and do not promise a link in advance. See smart parking systems, intercoms and turnstiles and speed gates.
Are you a brand partner or SIRA approved?
No to both. Emirtech is an independent integrator based in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, ADMCC-approved for security systems in the Abu Dhabi emirate, with no SIRA approval and no brand partner or distributor status. See SIRA and ADMC compared and how to check a SIRA licence.
How do I get a quotation?
Send a WhatsApp message or use the request form with the site address, the number of lanes, the lane width and whether you want RFID, remote control or ANPR. We reply the same working day, survey for free and send a written quotation.
