Emirtech Technology is an ADMCC-approved electronic security installer operating from M44, Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi since 2018, configuring the access control side of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) integrations across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. SIEM platforms centralise security events from network devices, endpoints, servers, access control, CCTV, and IDS/IPS for correlation, alerting, and forensic search. On the access control side we forward door events — granted, denied, forced-open, held-open, anti-passback violation, reader tamper, controller offline — to your SIEM via syslog, REST API, or vendor-specific connectors, with structured fields (timestamp, cardholder ID, door ID, event code) and time synchronised via NTP for reliable correlation. We work with access control platforms whose event streams are commonly ingested by Splunk Enterprise, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm, Elastic Security, and ArcSight (HPE). Typical correlation use cases include failed-card-attempt combined with simultaneous CCTV-motion (potential tailgating or breach), out-of-hours door-open without corresponding HR roster entry, controller-offline events tied to network anomalies, and privileged-area access correlated with SOC ticket workflow. We are not a Splunk, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm, Elastic, or ArcSight Authorised Implementation Partner, and we are not a managed SOC operator — SIEM platform design, parser tuning, correlation-rule engineering, dashboard creation, and 24/7 monitoring remain with your SIEM vendor, system integrator, or in-house SOC. Our scope is the access control endpoint: event source configuration, syslog/API forwarding, field mapping documentation, and joint testing with your SIEM team. Please note that internal SIEM monitoring is separate from any central station alarm-monitoring arrangement your facility category may require (that service comes from a third-party monitoring centre; Emirtech does not run one). SIEM access control integration capabilities
We configure access controllers and head-end servers to emit door, reader, and tamper events with structured fields — timestamp, cardholder ID, door ID, event code — ready for SIEM ingestion via syslog or REST.
We set up syslog over TLS (RFC 5425 transport, RFC 5424 format) or REST API forwarding to Splunk HEC, QRadar log source, Microsoft Sentinel data connector, or LogRhythm collector, including retry, buffering, and source-host identification.
We align controllers, servers, and forwarders to a common NTP source and apply consistent host, site, and zone tags so SIEM correlation rules can join access events with network, endpoint, and CCTV telemetry reliably.
We provide sample event payloads, field-mapping notes, and joint test plans for your SIEM integrator — verifying parsing, dashboard visibility, and that simulated forced-open or tamper events trigger expected SIEM alerts.
From event source enablement to joint testing with your SIEM and SOC team, we deliver the access control endpoint of the integration with documented field mappings and a pilot-first approach. To discuss event sources, supported platforms, and a sample payload set, call +971 55 651 7843 or request a free SIEM access integration consultation.
Common access control correlation use cases
Failed-card-attempt or forced-open events correlated with simultaneous CCTV motion analytics, intrusion sensor activation, or absence of a corresponding entry/exit pair — surfaced to SOC analysts for review and on-site response.
Door-open events outside scheduled hours or without a corresponding HR roster, work-permit, or visitor-management record — useful for facilities with strict shift patterns or contractor controls.
Controller-offline, reader-tamper, enclosure-tamper, and power-loss events correlated with network telemetry — helping distinguish maintenance activity, network outages, and potential physical attack.
Access to data centre cages, server rooms, vaults, or executive areas correlated with change-management tickets, supporting internal audit, ISO/SOC-style evidence packs, and incident review by your governance team.
SIEM integration is a multi-vendor engagement. We are clear about which part Emirtech delivers and which parts remain with your SIEM vendor, integrator, or in-house SOC.
This honest division of work prevents overlap, reduces risk during SOC roll-out, and ensures the customer retains a single accountable SIEM owner. For an integration plan tailored to your access control platform and SIEM, call +971 55 651 7843.
Common questions
No. Emirtech is not an Authorised Implementation Partner of Splunk, IBM QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm, Elastic Security, or ArcSight, and we are not a managed SOC operator. We configure the access control side — event sources, syslog/REST forwarding, field mappings, and joint testing — while SIEM platform design, parser tuning, correlation rules, and monitoring remain with your authorised SIEM partner or in-house SOC.
Typical events include access granted, access denied, forced-door, door-held-open, anti-passback violation, reader tamper, enclosure tamper, controller offline, controller power loss, and administrator configuration changes. Each event carries timestamp, door ID, reader ID, cardholder ID (where permitted), and event code in a structured format suitable for SIEM parsers.
Both, depending on the access control platform. We prefer syslog over TLS (RFC 5425 transport, RFC 5424 format) where supported for reliability and standardisation, and use REST API forwarding (for example into Splunk HEC or Microsoft Sentinel data connectors) where the platform exposes a richer JSON event model. We document the chosen method and field mappings for your SIEM team.
No. Where a facility category requires central station alarm monitoring, that is a separate service from a third-party monitoring centre (Emirtech does not run one) with its own scope. Internal SIEM monitoring complements it for broader security operations — log retention, correlation, audit — but does not substitute for a central station arrangement. We can explain the boundary for your specific facility category.
No. We forward event metadata (who, where, when, outcome) — not biometric templates or raw images. Biometric template data is sensitive personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL) and is configured for on-device storage and encrypted transmission within the access control system, never streamed to general-purpose SIEM logs.
Call +971 55 651 7843, email [email protected], or use our quotation form. Share the access control platform, target SIEM, approximate number of doors and controllers, and any specific correlation use cases. We provide a scoped proposal covering event source enablement, forwarding configuration, documentation, and joint testing — clearly excluding SIEM-side parser, rule, and dashboard work owned by your SIEM partner.
