Scope — what we deliver and explicitly do not
Server rack and cage access control sits between electronic security, IT infrastructure and data centre operations. The boundary between Emirtech scope and rack OEM, DCIM vendor and customer DPO scope must be written clearly into every project to avoid handover gaps.
- We deliver: rack-mounted electronic lock installation (APC NetBotz, Conteg ServerLock, Vertiv Knurr DCM, Schneider Smart Rack), caged perimeter doors with multi-factor entry, anti-passback, per-cabinet audit trail, DCIM and BMS integration, video verification and operator training across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
- We do not deliver: mechanical fabrication of new server cabinets, structural cage steelwork beyond door hardware, manufacturer firmware support, DCIM software licensing or 24/7 NOC operation of your data hall.
- We are not: the rack OEM factory engineering office, a licensed elevator contractor, a DoH-licensed healthcare contractor, an ADHICS-accredited assessor, a SIRA-licensed Dubai operator, an ISO 27001 or NESA-certified entity, a 24/7 SOC operator or a PDPL legal advisor.
- We are not affiliated with: APC by Schneider Electric, Vertiv (Liebert), Conteg, Rittal, Tripp Lite (Eaton), ASSA ABLOY (Aperio), or authorised data centre rack distributors in UAE — we install and integrate via the official UAE channels of each manufacturer and only hold a Control4 installer working with a third-party authorised dealer credential.
All scope, brand selection, exclusions and PDPL responsibility allocation are documented in a signed proposal before mobilisation, so colocation operators, DCIM vendors, customer IT teams and the customer DPO each understand who owns which deliverable.

No. We are an ADMCC-approved electronic security installation and integration contractor working through the official UAE distribution channels of those rack vendors. We hold no manufacturer-level credential of our own; we are not a Channel Partner or Authorised Distributor of any rack OEM.
How are biometric templates at cage doors handled under UAE PDPL?
Biometric template data is sensitive personal data under UAE PDPL (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). We configure on-device template storage where the reader supports it, encrypted transmission, customer-defined retention and documented deletion workflows. The customer obtains explicit consent before enrolment and owns the legal interpretation — we deliver technical controls and are not a PDPL legal advisor.
Can you integrate rack and cage events with our DCIM platform?
Yes. We integrate rack and cage access events with Schneider EcoStruxure IT, Vertiv Trellis and nlyte where the customer holds appropriate licences, plus BMS head-ends and SIEM forwarders. DCIM software licensing and platform-level support remain the responsibility of the customer or the DCIM vendor.
Do you operate a 24/7 NOC for the rack access system after handover?
No. We are not a 24/7 NOC or SOC operator. We hand over the rack and cage access platform to your internal data centre operations team or your contracted NOC provider, with operator training, as-built drawings and manufacturer warranty documents. We offer scheduled maintenance visits separately.
