A correctly configured deep liveness stack is designed to resist printed photos, phone/tablet video replays, screen-displayed faces, paper masks, latex and silicone masks, 3D-printed heads, mannequin dummies and many consumer-grade deepfake video streams. Stereo depth helps resist 2D media; thermal/IR helps resist mask materials; texture and micro-movement analysis catches some residual edge cases. No liveness check is unbeatable, which is why we recommend an acceptance test with sample attacks at commissioning.
