What Graylog and ELK log aggregation access work do we deliver in Abu Dhabi?

Emirtech Technology is an ADMCC-approved electronic security installer founded in 2018, based at M44, Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi, reachable on +971 55 651 7843. We configure the access-control side of open-source log aggregation deployments — forwarding door events, badge swipes, biometric reads, alarm triggers and controller diagnostics from access systems into customer-operated platforms including Graylog, the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch + Logstash + Kibana), OpenSearch and Loki + Grafana. Typical scope covers syslog UDP/TCP forwarding from access controllers, REST API event push using the controller's native webhook, custom forwarder agents on Windows or Linux hosts, log message formatting (CEF, LEEF, JSON, plain syslog), TLS encryption for log streams where the platform supports it, source IP allowlisting, and basic test events to confirm receipt at the Graylog input or Logstash pipeline. We support multi-site Abu Dhabi and Al Ain deployments where access logs from several buildings are aggregated to one searchable platform for custom dashboards, compliance reporting and anomaly alerting. Our work is strictly access-side forwarder configuration. We are not a Graylog Authorised Implementation Partner, not an Elastic Authorised Partner, not an AWS OpenSearch Service Partner, not a Grafana Labs partner and not a managed log analytics provider. We do not operate a 24/7 Security Operations Centre, do not write custom Logstash filters or Graylog pipeline rules for log enrichment beyond access-source needs, do not size or scale Elasticsearch clusters, do not build Kibana or Grafana dashboards as a managed service, and do not hold ISO 27001, NESA, SIRA or ADHICS certification. We hold no manufacturer-level credential of our own. ADMCC-regulated work is delivered in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain only. For confirmed scope, indicative pricing and a Mussafah site survey, call +971 55 651 7843 or email [email protected].

Access log forwarding capabilities

Graylog and ELK access-side forwarding we configure

Syslog Forwarding

Configure UDP/TCP syslog forwarding from access controllers and door interface modules to Graylog inputs or Logstash listeners. Standard RFC 3164 or RFC 5424 message format with source IP allowlisting against the customer's log platform.

REST API Webhook Push

Where the access controller supports native webhook output, we configure event push to a Graylog HTTP Raw input, Logstash HTTP input or OpenSearch ingest endpoint. JSON payload formatting verified against the platform owner's documented schema.

Custom Agent Install

Install Filebeat, Winlogbeat or Graylog Sidecar on Windows or Linux hosts that store access event databases, log files or controller exports. Forwarder configuration scoped to access-related sources only.

Multi-Site Aggregation

Configure access controllers across multiple Abu Dhabi and Al Ain sites to forward to a single central Graylog cluster or Elasticsearch endpoint. Source tagging by site/building for downstream filtering by the platform operator.

Why customers choose Emirtech for log forwarding

We focus on the access-control configuration side — the layer between the door hardware and your log platform. We are an ADMCC-approved electronic security installer founded in 2018, operating from M44 in Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi. We do not pretend to be a Graylog Authorised Implementation Partner, Elastic Partner or managed analytics provider. Honest scope, documented work, single point of contact for access-side forwarding. Call +971 55 651 7843 or request a free Graylog ELK log aggregation consultation.

  • Identify access controllers and event sources requiring log forwarding
  • Confirm target platform — Graylog, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch or Loki — and its IP/port
  • Configure UDP/TCP syslog output on access controllers
  • Set RFC 3164 or RFC 5424 message format per platform owner's requirement
  • Apply source IP allowlisting on the access network side
  • Install Filebeat, Winlogbeat or Graylog Sidecar agents on event-source hosts
  • Configure webhook/REST push for controllers supporting native HTTP output
  • Apply TLS encryption to log streams where supported by controller firmware
  • Tag log sources by site/building/door for downstream filtering
  • Test event injection and confirm receipt at platform owner's input
  • Document forwarder configuration, source list and IP/port table
  • Hand over to customer's log platform team for parsing and dashboarding

Platform-specific forwarding

Open-source log aggregation platforms we forward into

Graylog

Configure access-side forwarding to Graylog Open or Graylog Enterprise — syslog UDP/TCP inputs, GELF UDP/TCP/HTTP inputs and Raw/Plaintext inputs. Source tagging and stream routing handled by the customer's Graylog administrator.

ELK Stack

Configure forwarders to Logstash beats input, syslog input or HTTP input as required. Elasticsearch index lifecycle, mapping templates and Kibana visualisation scoped to the customer's Elastic operator — not part of our work.

OpenSearch

Configure access event push to OpenSearch ingest endpoints with Data Prepper or Fluent Bit as upstream forwarders where appropriate. Cluster sizing, index strategy and OpenSearch Dashboards work owned by the platform operator.

Loki + Grafana

Configure Grafana Alloy (the successor to Promtail) or Fluent Bit on access event hosts to forward to Loki. Label scheme agreed with the platform team. Grafana dashboard creation and LogQL query work scoped to the customer's observability team.

Scope — what we deliver and explicitly do not

Graylog and ELK log aggregation involves access-side forwarder configuration and customer-side platform engineering. We do the former and stay out of the latter. The list below makes the boundary explicit.

  • We deliver: access controller syslog/REST forwarding configuration, Filebeat/Winlogbeat/Graylog Sidecar install on access event hosts, source tagging by site, TLS where supported, test event injection, documentation of source list and IP/port table, multi-site aggregation across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
  • We do not deliver: Elasticsearch cluster sizing, Graylog node deployment, OpenSearch index strategy, Kibana or Grafana dashboard development as managed service, Logstash filter authoring beyond access source needs, SIEM use-case engineering, 24/7 SOC monitoring, alert tuning, threat hunting.
  • We are not: a Graylog Authorised Implementation Partner, Elastic Authorised Partner, AWS OpenSearch Service Partner, Grafana Labs partner, ISO 27001 certified, NESA accredited, ADHICS certified, SIRA registered or a managed log analytics provider.
  • We are not affiliated with: Elastic (ELK), Graylog Inc., AWS OpenSearch, Grafana Labs (Loki), or authorised log aggregation distributors in UAE.
  • Geographic scope for ADMCC-regulated electronic security work is Abu Dhabi and Al Ain only.
  • We hold no manufacturer-level credential of our own; brands are otherwise installed and configured via authorised UAE channels.

Where customers need a Graylog Partner or Elastic Partner to architect the platform, we cooperate with the appointed firm and own only the access-side forwarder configuration. Engage us early so source list, message format and target inputs are agreed before commissioning.

Common questions

FAQs

Are you a Graylog or Elastic Authorised Partner?

No. We are not a Graylog Authorised Implementation Partner, not an Elastic Authorised Partner, not an AWS OpenSearch Service Partner and not affiliated with Grafana Labs. We are an ADMCC-approved electronic security installer that configures access-control-side log forwarding into customer-operated platforms. We hold no manufacturer-level credential of our own.

What kind of access logs can you forward into Graylog or ELK?

Typical sources include door open/close events, badge read events, biometric authentication events, access-denied events, controller diagnostic messages, tamper alarms and door-held-open alerts. The exact log richness depends on the access controller manufacturer and firmware. We confirm available log fields during site survey.

Do you build Kibana or Grafana dashboards for us?

No, not as a managed service. We confirm logs arrive at the customer's Elasticsearch index, OpenSearch index, Graylog stream or Loki labels. Dashboard development, search query tuning, alert authoring and use-case engineering are the responsibility of the customer's log platform team or their appointed Elastic/Graylog Partner.

Do you operate a 24/7 SOC or monitor our logs for us?

No. We are not a Security Operations Centre operator, not a managed log analytics provider and do not monitor customer log streams. Once forwarding is configured and verified, monitoring, triage and incident response are owned by the customer's internal team or appointed managed service provider.

Which sites in the UAE do you cover?

ADMCC-regulated electronic security work is delivered in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain only, including multi-site aggregation scenarios where several Abu Dhabi or Al Ain buildings forward access logs to a single central platform. SIRA-regulated work in Dubai is delivered through SIRA-approved partners, with Emirtech coordinating; we do not take work in other emirates.

How do I get a quote for Graylog or ELK log forwarding configuration?
