Evidence Room Access Capabilities
Card-plus-biometric authentication at evidence-room entry using Suprema, Idemia or ZKTeco premium readers. Configured so neither factor alone unlocks the door, with anti-passback and door-forced or held-open alarm rules applied through the controller.
Two authorised custodians must badge and biometrically authenticate within a configurable time window before the strike releases. Supports chain-of-custody policy where no single individual can access evidence stores unaccompanied during working hours.
Reader schedules restrict normal entry to defined working hours, with role-based exceptions for senior custodians. Emergency override events generate a flagged audit entry, SMS or email alert and CCTV bookmark for after-the-fact review by your compliance officer.
Every reader event triggers camera bookmarking on the linked NVR with pre and post-event recording around the door. Investigators and counsel can pull a synchronised clip plus audit log for any entry, removal or denied attempt without manual timeline searching.

For large law firms with regional offices or multi-floor evidence stores, we configure Honeywell Pro-Watch as a head-end platform with cardholder synchronisation, multi-site reporting and role-based operator privileges aligned to your firm's IT and compliance governance.
Per-door audit logs export to CSV or PDF with filters for custodian, date range, door, event type and dual-knock pairing. Reports are configurable for periodic compliance review by your in-house counsel or external legal-procedure advisor where evidence integrity is questioned.
Software-based or paper-tablet hybrid removal log records exhibit identifier, removal time, custodian, intended use, return time and condition. Designed to be referenced alongside reader audit trails — your legal team defines admissibility wording and retention period for court purposes.

Dual-knock is configured at controller level so the strike will not release until two authorised custodians have each presented a valid card plus biometric within a defined time window, typically ten to thirty seconds. If only one custodian authenticates, the door stays locked and the partial attempt is logged. Override roles and emergency procedures are configured separately and generate flagged audit entries.
Every reader event is logged with custodian identifier, timestamp, door, reader, event outcome and any dual-knock pairing. Audit logs export to CSV or PDF and can be filtered by date range, custodian, door or event type. We configure scheduled reports for periodic compliance review.
