In short: wired systems such as Control4, KNX, Crestron and Loxone usually suit new villas and full renovations, because cabling is laid before the walls close. Lutron is chosen when lighting and shading quality matter most. Akubela suits apartments and mid-size villas that want a wall panel. Wireless brands such as Aqara, Shelly, Sonoff and Philips Hue suit apartments, rentals and single-room upgrades.
