How does Emirtech deliver emergency mustering with biometric evacuation in Abu Dhabi?

Emirtech Technology is an ADMCC-approved electronic security contractor founded in 2018 and based at M44, Mussafah Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi, reachable on +971 55 651 7843. We design, install and configure emergency mustering and biometric evacuation tracking systems across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain — where mustering means verified headcount at a designated assembly point during a fire or emergency evacuation, so that wardens know every person is accounted for. Our deployments use outdoor weather-protected terminals at the muster point — staff scan a face, fingerprint or RFID card as they arrive, and a real-time dashboard compares the headcount against the live employee and visitor database. Typical brands we install commercially include ZKTeco SpeedFace V5L Outdoor at muster points, Matrix COSEC Muster Reader, Suprema BioStar 2 with muster mode, and Brivo / Openpath cloud-based mustering. On the access control side we configure the emergency-evac mode agreed with the ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor — on a fire-alarm event the panel releases all turnstiles, drops mag-locks on the egress path and pushes a real-time evacuation event to the muster dashboard. We are not an Authorised Distributor or Channel Partner of any of those brands; we install and configure them through authorised UAE channels. We are not ADCD-certified and are not an ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor — the voice-evacuation system, fire-alarm panel programming and the dry-contact / network interlock between the fire-alarm panel and the access control system must be delivered and certified by an ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor, with whom we coordinate on the access control interface only. Biometric template data is sensitive personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL); we configure on-device template storage where supported, encrypted transmission and retention limits, while the customer remains the data controller and obtains explicit employee consent before enrolment. Mustering Capabilities

What our emergency mustering installations cover

Outdoor Muster Terminals

Weather-protected biometric and RFID terminals at designated assembly points — face, fingerprint or card scan as staff arrive, IP65/IP66 housings rated for Abu Dhabi outdoor conditions, with sunshade and pedestal options for car-park and yard muster zones.

Real-time Headcount Dashboard

Live dashboard compares muster scans against the employee, contractor and visitor database, highlights missing personnel by department and zone, and prints a marshal-ready missing-person list for wardens on demand.

Fire-Alarm Evac Interlock

Access control configured for emergency-evacuation mode — on fire-alarm signal all turnstiles open, mag-locks release on egress doors, coordinated with the fire-alarm contractor.

Multi-site Muster Roll-up

Brivo, Openpath, Suprema BioStar 2 and Matrix COSEC consolidate muster events from multiple Abu Dhabi and Al Ain sites into a single roll-up so head-office HSE can see plant-wide headcount during a regional drill or incident.

Deployment Scope

Where biometric mustering fits across Abu Dhabi sites

Industrial & Mussafah Plants

Mussafah, ICAD and KIZAD factories use outdoor muster terminals at car-park assembly points, with multi-shift roll-up for production, contractor and visitor personnel during fire drills and real incidents under HSE control.

Warehouses & Logistics Yards

Logistics depots and bonded warehouses use weather-protected RFID and biometric muster readers at gate-side assembly zones so drivers, loaders and office staff are accounted for together during evacuation.

Office Towers & Mixed-Use

Abu Dhabi office towers configure ground-level muster terminals on the pavement assembly zone, with turnstile release on fire-alarm signal and tenant-by-tenant headcount roll-up for the floor warden team.

Al Ain Industrial & Education

Al Ain industrial and education sites use Matrix COSEC or Suprema BioStar 2 muster mode with outdoor terminals, coordinated with the local ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor on the evacuation interlock interface.

Scope — what we deliver and explicitly do not

Emergency mustering and evacuation is shared between the fire-alarm contractor and the electronic security contractor. Our scope is the access control and biometric muster terminal side, working alongside an ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor who owns the fire-alarm panel, voice-evacuation system and certified evacuation interlock.

  • We deliver: outdoor weather-protected biometric and RFID muster terminals, real-time muster dashboards, access control configured for emergency-evac mode (turnstile release and mag-lock drop), multi-site muster roll-up, drill-mode reporting and on-site commissioning across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
  • We do not deliver: fire-alarm panels, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points, voice-evacuation systems, fire-alarm panel programming, fire-alarm cause-and-effect certification, or the certified dry-contact / network interlock between the fire-alarm panel and the access control system — all of which belong to an ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor.
  • We are not: ADCD-certified, an ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor, an Authorised Distributor or Channel Partner of ZKTeco, Matrix, Suprema, Brivo, Openpath, Honeywell Notifier, Edwards EST, Cooper, GST, Bosch Fire or Tyco SimplexGrinnell, and we are not a PDPL legal advisor — we deliver technical controls only and the customer remains the data controller.
  • We are not affiliated with: Abu Dhabi Civil Defence (ADCD), authorised ADCD fire-alarm contractors in UAE, Honeywell Notifier, Edwards EST, Cooper, GST, Bosch Fire or Tyco SimplexGrinnell.
  • Geographic scope for ADMCC-regulated electronic security work is Abu Dhabi and Al Ain only.
  • Biometric template data is sensitive personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL); we configure on-device storage where supported, encrypted transmission and retention limits.
  • We coordinate with your appointed ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor on the interlock interface — dry-contact, Modbus or BACnet — and document responsibilities in a clear scope matrix before site mobilisation.

We document the split of responsibility between Emirtech and the ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor in a written scope matrix at proposal stage, so the customer, the consultant and the fire-alarm contractor have one agreed view of who owns each evacuation interface before mobilisation.

Common questions

FAQs

Is Emirtech an ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor?

No. Emirtech is an ADMCC-approved electronic security contractor and is not ADCD-certified. The fire-alarm panel, voice-evacuation system and certified evacuation interlock must be delivered by an ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor. We coordinate with that contractor on the access control side of the interlock — turnstile release, mag-lock drop and emergency-evac mode programming.

Is Emirtech an Authorised Channel Partner of ZKTeco, Matrix, Suprema, Brivo or Openpath?

No. We are not an Authorised Distributor or Channel Partner of ZKTeco, Matrix, Suprema, Brivo or Openpath. We install and configure those biometric muster and access control products commercially through authorised UAE channels and provide commissioning and post-go-live support on the deployed system.

How does Emirtech handle PDPL on biometric muster terminals?

Biometric template data is sensitive personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL). We configure on-device template storage where the hardware supports it, encrypted transmission to the muster server, and configurable retention limits. The customer remains the data controller, obtains explicit employee consent before enrolment and defines retention policy. We are not a PDPL legal advisor.

Does the muster system release turnstiles automatically on a fire alarm?

Yes — on the access control side we configure emergency-evacuation mode so that on a fire-alarm signal all turnstiles open and mag-locks on the egress path release. Any other access-control behaviour on a fire alarm is agreed in writing with the ADCD-approved fire-alarm contractor. The fire-alarm signal itself must come from an ADCD-approved fire-alarm panel through a certified dry-contact or network interlock owned by the fire-alarm contractor.

Can the muster dashboard show contractors and visitors, not just employees?

Yes. We configure enrolment workflows so contractors and visitors are issued temporary cards or short-retention biometric records on arrival, and they appear on the live muster roll alongside permanent staff. After site exit or end of day the temporary records are purged in line with the agreed retention policy.
