RF & AM Antenna Gates
Exit pedestal installation and sensitivity tuning for RF (8.2 MHz) or AM (58 kHz) systems, sized to your store's exit width and traffic flow.
Retail Loss Prevention
Emirtech designs, supplies and installs Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) antenna gates, tag and label deactivation, and CCTV-integrated loss-prevention systems for retail tenants across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain (Dubai: IT AMC and time attendance by on-site visits, gate barriers, ANPR, video intercoms and turnstiles by Emirtech itself, and CCTV, alarm and access control through SIRA-approved partners).
In short: This page covers “EAS Retail Anti-Theft System Installation”. Emirtech's own engineers carry out the work, as an independent integrator serving Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. A site survey or assessment comes first, then a written itemised quotation.

Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) is the retail loss-prevention technology behind the antenna pedestals stationed at store exits: merchandise carries a hard tag or adhesive soft label, and if it passes through the gate without being deactivated or detached at the till, the antennas trigger an alarm. Two technologies dominate the market — RF (radio-frequency) systems operating at 8.2 MHz, the most widely used worldwide with the broadest range of compatible tags, and AM (acousto-magnetic) systems operating at 58 kHz, which generally tolerate wider exit spacing and metal-heavy environments better and are common in pharmacies and larger-format stores. Emirtech installs both, choosing the right technology for your store's exit width, merchandise type and any existing tag stock during a free site survey. Honest scope: EAS antenna installation is low-voltage retail technology and falls outside our ADMCC approval, which covers security systems work only, so we install it across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain (Dubai: IT AMC and time attendance by on-site visits, gate barriers, ANPR, video intercoms and turnstiles by Emirtech itself, and CCTV, alarm and access control through SIRA-approved partners) using the same engineering team behind our regulated CCTV and alarm work. Where a retail unit also needs ADMCC-compliant CCTV, that portion is delivered under Emirtech's existing ADMCC approval as normal (and under SIRA-partner referral in Dubai, per our standard honest scope). The two systems work best together: a standalone EAS alarm only tells staff that something triggered the gate, while EAS paired with exit-facing CCTV lets loss-prevention staff match every alarm to actual footage — cutting false-alarm fatigue and giving verifiable evidence instead of just noise.
What We Install
Exit pedestal installation and sensitivity tuning for RF (8.2 MHz) or AM (58 kHz) systems, sized to your store's exit width and traffic flow.
Deactivation pads for adhesive soft labels and detacher units for reusable hard tags, integrated into your checkout layout without slowing service.
Exit-facing CCTV coverage paired with EAS gates so every alarm event can be matched to recorded footage, not left as an unexplained noise.
Scheduled maintenance to keep antenna sensitivity correctly tuned as store layouts, merchandise and shelving change over time.
EAS is a natural extension of the same low-voltage installation trade behind Emirtech's CCTV, access control and structured cabling work — mounting exit pedestals, running cabling to a controller, tuning sensitivity, and wiring deactivation units into the till counter. We survey your actual store layout, exit width and merchandise mix before recommending RF or AM, rather than defaulting to one system.
See our CCTV installation service for exit-facing camera coverage, or our luxury retail IT & security page for the wider technology brief a boutique or flagship store typically needs. Request a free site survey to discuss your store.

EAS suits any retail format handling loose, portable merchandise at risk of shoplifting. Emirtech's engineering team carries out a free site survey before specifying any hardware, so the system matches your actual store — not a generic template applied to every unit.
Whatever your store format, every Emirtech engagement starts with a no-obligation site survey and ends with a fully documented system and handover pack. Call +971 55 651 7843 or request a free quotation online.
